The Philippine Tarsier - One of the smallest primates in the world.
β’ This tiny nocturnal creature, measuring only 4-5 inches in size, can be found in South Eastern islands of the Philippines such as Bohol, Leyte, Samar and parts of Mindanao.
β’ Their eyes are larger than their brains and cannot rotate in their sockets. To compensate, they can rotate their heads a full 180 degrees, much like an owl.
β’ They are the only primates that are 100% carnivorous, feeding primarily on insects, lizards, and small snakes.
β’ They are incredible jumpers, capable of leaping up to 10 feet between branches.
