The 5 Clubs event celebrated 50 years of motorsport at at Wiscombe Park this month!

Here are a few of the shots from the weekend, if I get time I might do some subtle pixel stretching shots in the next week too!

As always full gallery is viewable via my website:

I've got a Photographers POV short video from the weekend that I'll put together this week too amongst my drone jobs.

All previous Wiscombe photos are viewable via the below link, although it's only this year I started renaming the files to match the driver number for easier viewing:

Looking forward to returning to Wiscombe again next year and possibly even venturing to other Hillclimbs!!

We're not used to seeing this many clouds with the summer we've had!

We were out operating in East Devon recently, capturing aerial photography as part of a survey for a land owner. Our views from the ground aren't this good, we mostly see clouds, trees and sea gulls but the drone has the height advantage for sure and can see for miles being 400ft up!

Lets hope for some more action on the hill today (preferably without a wasp getting stuck in my leg), sadly with all of the stop starts yesterday the last run was cancelled so I didn’t get to one of my favourite spots.

Today I’m parked up around Sawbench just in case we only get the one run this afternoon, if we get a 4th I’ll have to see about martini!

According to Facebook this was my tyres when I left this same event at Wiscombe 3 years ago, let’s hope it’s a tad dryer and cleaner than that this weekend!!

Although I might have made a mistake wearing one of my Ferrari tops it’s like a walking red flag, didn’t even get out of the car and there was a competitor on their roof!

As part of safe flight practices we always check the drone over before and after every flight, you can imagine our surprise this week when inspecting one of the drones after landing to find this. It’s not quite what we expected to find…

Despite this being our smallest drone weighing less than 250g, it apparently still packs enough punch to win an argument with an unsuspecting insect.

The drone passed its post-flight checks without issue after being cleaned up. The insect, unfortunately, wasn’t available for comment.

Just another reminder that even routine flights can leave behind an unexpected story or two!

📸 Happy World Photography Day!

Photography isn't just about the final image that you often see photographers posting. There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes before we even leave the house, let alone take to the sky.

For World Photography Day, we thought we'd give you a look at just some of the equipment we use during our aerial operations at Ryno Drone Photography.

From our drones and batteries to the equipment we carry to help keep our operations safe and reliable, every part has its role.

And this is by no means everything! We couldn't fit everything into one photograph, including our event equipment, chargers, laptops, tools and spares, filters, rucksacks and additional safety equipment.

Then there's the equipment that didn't even make it into this setup like our microphones, gimbals, DSLRs, cables and other ground based photography and video equipment.

Of course, the equipment is only part of the story. Knowing where to fly, when to fly and how to position the aircraft to capture the right image is just as important.

Here's to the ever advancing technology, the planning and, most importantly, the photography that brings it all together. 📸

We've recently carried out aerial imagery of a Grade II listed building in Devon, successfully capturing detailed views of areas that would otherwise have been difficult to photograph from ground level and cost thousands to inspect using the traditional methods. Saving the customer time and money.

Are you working on a historic, listed or difficult-to-access building? We have you covered.

📸 Wiscombe Park Hillclimb – Sunday Highlights 📸

After seeing that so many enjoyed checking out the gallery, I thought I'd share my top 10 favourite moments from Sunday's action at Wiscombe Park. Although I did restrict myself to 5 full colour and 5 black and white, still trying to determine which style I prefer.

From wheels lifting through the corners, to the moments of landscaping and close battles against the clock, there was no shortage of excitement throughout the day.

A huge thank you to everyone who liked and tagged in the last update when I shared Saturday's top pics.

Which is your favourite shot?
