In a world full of noise, the Cadet Forces often go quietly under the radar. But they are, without doubt, one of our nation’s greatest untold success stories.

Every week, across the UK, thousands of dedicated volunteers help shape the next generation — teaching young people self-belief, leadership, resilience, and the value of service. No social media spotlight. No fame. Just real impact.

Cadets come from all walks of life. Some need direction. Others need confidence. Many just need someone to believe in them.
And through adventure, discipline, and opportunity, that’s exactly what the Cadet Forces give them.

I’ve seen it first-hand. I’ve lived it. And I’ll say this proudly: the Cadet Forces change lives. They save lives. They give young people the tools to be better citizens, better leaders, and better humans.

We don’t shout about them enough.
But maybe, just maybe it’s time we did!
