I love seeing a bride and groom who just can't stop smiling and are loving every part of their day with their favourite friends and family. I love it when the couple hold hands to support each other. I love that moment when the vows are done and the couple realise they are husband and wife. My favourite photos are the moments where I catch the interaction between people. I love to capture the joy and emotion of that moment and record how people react throughout the day. To me this gives a full and honest account of the wedding day and provides memories which can be cherished forever after. If you are considering Balmule House and want to know what your wedding at Balmule could look like, come have a chat with me on Saturday 12-4pm.

We can look through some images, discuss ideas of how we can make your wedding photography perfectly fit your day without taking over.

I’ve been documenting weddings since 2014 so I have plenty of tips for how you can make your day run perfectly.

If you’re not quite sure what you want yet, that’s absolutely fine too. Come along, have a chat and get some ideas.

I’d love to meet you. 💛

🌿 Getting married at Balmule House? Or dreaming of a cosy Scottish country-house wedding somewhere that feels a little bit more like you?

I’ll be at the Balmule House wedding fayre this Saturday and I’d love to meet you. 💛

I’m all about relaxed, natural wedding photography for couples who:

✨ You might be my kind of wedding couple if…

✨You'd rather go for a wee wander than pose for an hour.

✨You want your family and friends to be a huge part of the day.

✨You love beautiful places but don't want your wedding to feel like a photoshoot.

✨You're a wee bit camera-shy.

✨You want your wedding to feel like you.

Balmule is one of those places I absolutely love photographing. It’s cosy, full of character and has gorgeous grounds where you can escape for a little bit, breathe, have a laugh and get some lovely photographs without disappearing from your guests for half the day.

So if you're coming along on Saturday, come and say hello! (even DM me and say hi before so we can plan time to chat)

Even if you're only just starting to look and haven't got everything figured out yet.

We can have a chat about your plans, what matters to you and what you actually want your wedding photographs to feel like.

No hard sell. No awkward posing. 😊

Just wedding chat, and me getting a little bit excited about all the lovely places we could explore for photos.

See you at Balmule! 💛

The sea cocoons Scotland and, if you enjoy marine biology, wild swimming, rock pooling and beachcombing as much as I do, I think you'll love these locations.

You don't need to travel far from Edinburgh to find incredible coastal adventures. There are many beautiful beaches within an hour of Edinburgh, making them perfect for family days out, holiday adventures, romantic walks and, of course, PHOTOSHOOTS 😊.

Whether you're visiting Scotland, planning a family adventure, looking for somewhere special to propose, or simply searching for beautiful places to explore, check out my GUIDE TO MY FAVOURITE BEACHES NEAR EDINBURGH.

One of my favourite wedding ideas... 🥂

Rather than lining up to greet everyone or slowly making their way around each table, Rachel and Ray chose a much more relaxed approach. They visited every table, raised a glass with their guests and turned it into one big celebration.

There were hugs, laughter, cheers and plenty of smiles. Instead of a quick hello, each table became its own little moment, and everyone felt included in the celebrations.

Watching it unfold reminded me that weddings aren't really about sticking to a schedule—they're about the people you've chosen to spend the day with.

Whether it's part of your culture or simply an idea you love, taking time to personally thank your guests is something I think every couple could take inspiration from. It creates such genuine moments and gives you the chance to celebrate with everyone who has come to support you.

I'd love to see this at more weddings.

💛 Is this something you'd include on your wedding day?

👶🏽For those that love adventure, an outdoor maternity photo shoot is a great way to celebrate your pregnancy and immortalise it for the future in a way which reflects an adventurous personality.

It’s the perfect mum-to-be gift to give yourself or the person you love!

Like all my photography, I want it to truly reflect who you are and for you to feel happy, comfortable and have a lovely experience which you will remember when you look back at your photos.

Due soon? Get in touch to check availability—I only take on a few maternity shoots each month.

And after all these years, we've built a full marriage, it's included the wonderful craziness of raising two boys, plenty of adventures, and lots of laughter... including our big anniversary adventure this week. 💛

Looking back through old photos reminded me that our family pictures aren't always perfect. Sometimes they're blurry selfies, windswept walks, someone pulling a daft face, or one of us not looking our best.

But together they tell our story.

Twenty years later, I'm so grateful we kept taking them.

Because one day, the ordinary moments become the extraordinary ones.

So keep taking the photos. The polished ones, the silly ones, and especially the everyday ones. They might not seem important now, but one day they'll become part of your family's history.
