My POV of the Worstead Festival as the Photographer, Content Creator and Event Marketer!
Being in the thick of watching people all around you experiencing such joy, laughter, happiness, and knowing you are literally capturing them living in the moment - there is just something so beautiful about that to me.
Trying to be in multiple places at once because there was JUST SO MUCH HAPPENING - the live entertainment, getting content of the public walking around, photography of some of the stallholders, content of the chef demonstrations, seeing as many of the bands as possible...
Doing continuous social media check ins, answer DMs, make sure no Facebook comments go ignored.
Late on Sunday afternoon, I wasn't prepared for how many micro-stories would happen around me, during The Booze Brothers performance.
The little girl, maybe 10 years old, who kept dancing with her Dad, and he kept swinging her round with her skirt billowing around her.
The way the woman's dress flared out as she was spun around by her partner was breathtaking, especially because they were also excellent dancers.
All of the young children playing with the bubble machine, and gathering round the girl in charge of it every few minutes. The giggling was wonderful 🥹
Lots of children being put on their parents shoulders, and giddily laughing because they were so high up.
How a dance floor quickly evolved in front of the stage, and how everybody; young and old alike all got involved in having a jig.
In conclusion, as my first time marketing such a big event like this: trying to be in 100 hundred places at once because there simply so much going on, was a new level of fun but also exhaustion. I think it took me about two full days to recover properly from this, especially because I was up at 5am both days turning content around.
Absolutely zero regrets, and genuinely might have been one of my favourite weekends ever.
So I can’t wait to do all of this again next weekend, but this time, for the 60th Anniversary!! Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July, who’s coming???
