This week I learned a big life lesson:

Just tell people what I really want 😂

Because I got a real taster that manifestation has merit last week!

I shared a LinkedIn post about my dreams for my brand photography business, Studio Gently...

And in it I mentioned wanting to do more public speaking in 2026.

Secretly, I was hoping for interviews, because I want to build things up a little!

One thing that's surprised me about refining my brand photography process:

The gentler I have made each photoshoot feel, the more confident my clients have become 💪🏻
ㅤ
And I can really see the difference in my sessions in Year 10 compared with Year 1 of my work 📸

Because I’m no longer rushing people, pressuring them to have answers they don't have, or to know what to do in an environment where I’m the expert.

I’m not overexaggerating when I say that even just one hour of preparation will transform your brand photography results.

This is why a brand photoshoot is different from being snapped by your friend's iPhone 🤳🏻

In the latter, you have no time to settle into the moment and look like your true self, free from pressure.

But at a brand photoshoot, it's all about me doing the hard work before the session...
..So the day itself feels nurturing and fun.

AKA – the perfect photoshoot environment 😂

The most meaningful part of my brand photography work? 🤔

It’s not just handing over a gallery of gorgeous photos 🙅🏼‍♀️

It’s reading messages like these... from big-hearted founders who finally see themselves reflected in their brand 😍

Because when you feel at home in your photos, it shows up everywhere:

🤍 in the way you share your work,
🤍 in the way others connect with you,
🤍 in the way your business grows.

This is what I want for every gentle founder who steps in front of my camera 📸
