Have you ever felt like the world is rushing ahead and you’re just… not ready yet?
That’s exactly where I’ve been. I haven’t shared anything on here for months. Not because I haven’t had much to say. Quite the opposite, in fact. My mind’s been full but I didn’t want to post because I ‘should’. I’ve craved time to sit with my thoughts, let ideas percolate, and think about what I want to say and how.
Because honestly, fitting in with what the algorithm wants doesn’t bring me joy. It makes me feel more like a performing seal than myself. (So if you ever feel pressure to plan your wedding a certain way - I see you. And for what it's worth, the best weddings aren't made up of ‘shoulds’.)
There was no “new year, new me” or big goals in January. It was just me, still bringing 2024 projects to fruition! January 1st doesn’t feel like the start of anything though, does it? We’re not designed to go go go in winter. That’s hibernation season - time to rest, reflect, and put down roots. Maybe that’s where you’ve been too, letting things unfold in their own time. I’m pretty sure that’s exactly where we were meant to be.
Also, I’ve been adjusting to life without Daisy, and part of me wasn’t ready to bump her from my most recent post.
But today we have the Spring Equinox and astrological new year. Hoorah! Nature is waking up again, fresh energy is stirring, and I feel ready to step back in.
I have some magical weddings to share - full of moments that still make my heart swell.
And there’s the not-so-small matter of a rebrand and new website! Which, true to life lately, I had grand plans to announce "properly"… and then, without fuss or fanfare, I just quietly launched under the Aquarius new moon. The timing was, err, organic - but perfect! As the zodiac sign of innovation, independence, and serving humanity it feels fitting for what's ahead around here. And my goodness, I have things to say!
But for now, happy 'true' new year! 🥳
