Day 4 of The Manx Man from UK Railtours
Today would consist of a bit of a later start to the day for silver group, from which we would have a tour of the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway stables and also a horse tram ride! (fantastic I have to say and it was great chatting with the young lady on the tram).
After our horse tram ride, we had a choice to either go back on the Manx Electric tram or take the bus put on for us to Groudle station.
Once we convened here, we would make the short walk to the Groudle Glen Railway.
A short ride from Lhen Coan station to Sea Lion Rocks, taking in some spectacular views along the route!
Once we arrived at the Sea Lion Rocks station and café, we would have around an hour before the train back.
So I took a little trip down the cliffs to see some of the views, and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest.
Learning of the history of Sea Lion Rocks, was quite something in itself.
Once we left on the train back to Lhen Coan station, we'd make our short walk back to Groudle Station.
The Manx Electric Tramway would take us onwards to Ramsey, which I have to say, was sensational! The views we had of the sea, little villages, and just nature throughout, it honestly was breathtaking! Albeit a little chilly.
Upon arriving into Ramsey, we would take the short walk to Ramsey Pier Railway (The Queens Pier).
Once again, learning of the great history and the ongoing restoration project that's taking place.
We even noticed more RNLI exercises taking place at sea.
Once back at Ramsey, we would take the tram all the way back to Douglas, enjoying those miraculous views once more.
Overall, a fun filled day with the weather on our side once again.
Genuinely great meeting the people of The Isle of Man, as well as seeing our customers happy and enjoying themselves.
