My shoot with James was amazing and honestly couldn’t recommend him enough!

He is such a great photographer and made the whole experience so fun, relaxed and comfortable from the moment we started.

As someone who is currently in between jobs, I really wanted something that would give me a confidence boost and this shoot definitely did that. James made me feel completely at ease in front of the camera and helped me feel confident throughout the whole session.

I’m so happy with the experience and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a talented and genuinely lovely photographer.

Thank you again, James!

There’s a line from a SitCom I once heard that’s never left me:

We never get to say goodbye to the many versions of our children. 💭

The baby who could barely open their eyes… 👶
The little explorer crawling their way through the world… 🧸
The one who held your hand a little tighter than necessary… 🤝
The child who asked a thousand questions… ❓

They don’t disappear all at once.
They quietly become someone new.

And then one day… you realise every version of them has walked out the door at the same time. 🚪

This is Fynn.
Almost 14. ✨

Not a child.
Not yet a man.
Somewhere in between—figuring things out, finding his place, becoming who he’s meant to be.

And if you’re his age, maybe you feel that too.
Like you’re standing in the middle of everything changing… 🌱
Not quite sure who you are yet—but knowing you’re not who you used to be.

That space matters.
You matter. ❤️

And for us as parents and step parents… it moves faster than we ever expect. ⏳

That’s why these moments deserve to be held onto.
Not just in our memories—but in something we can see, feel, and return to.

Because one day, this version of them will be gone too.

And you’ll wish you could step back into it… just for a second. 💫

If you’ve been thinking about capturing your family as they are right now—this is your sign.

Don’t wait for the “perfect time.”

This is the moment. 📸

There’s a quiet question most people carry when they put themselves out there:

“Does this actually feel like me?” ✨

When Terry Molloy reached out ahead of his steampunk event, this wasn’t about stepping into a studio or forcing a look that didn’t fit…

It was about meeting him where he already felt most like himself 🏡
Working within his own space, shaping the light, the mood, the story 🎨
And then building a world around him that felt authentic to who he is ⚙️

Because personal branding doesn’t have one look.

For some, it’s bold and theatrical.
For others, it’s quiet, grounded, and real.

But the common thread?

It has to feel like you.

If your current images feel disconnected…
too polished, too generic, or just not quite right…
that’s usually a sign the process didn’t start with you 🧠

I shape every session around your world, your energy, and what you need your portraits to do for you ⚡
Whether that’s opening doors, attracting the right people, or simply allowing you to feel seen in a way you recognise.

Because when that alignment is there…
people don’t just see you.

They get you.

And that’s when everything starts to shift ✨

Yesterday’s afternoon with Annika Burke was a reminder that Branding Portraits aren’t really about how you look — they’re about the energy you carry when you’re fully at ease in yourself ✨⚡️

We worked within just one room of her beautiful home 🏡 moving slowly between different areas — the exposed brick wall 🧱 the central space 🌿 the window sill where the light naturally settled ☀️ Nothing forced. Nothing overly directed. Just small shifts that allowed something different to surface each time.

A change in presence 🌬️ A change in pace 🕊️ A change in how she met the moment.

And that’s where the work really begins.

When things are allowed to settle, people stop performing. They soften into themselves. They become less aware of the camera and more aware of the moment they’re in 📸 And in that space, something far more honest starts to emerge — not constructed, not managed, just recognisable.

That’s what people actually connect with 🤍

Not perfection, but resonance. The sense that someone is fully present in who they are and what they do, without needing to push it.

In just a couple of hours ⏳ that room gave us everything we needed — a set of portraits that feel grounded, intuitive, and quietly confident.

If your current imagery doesn’t quite carry that same sense of alignment, it might be time to change how you’re being seen.

If you’d like to explore that, let’s talk ⚡
