Summer, I love you... But my little girlies go back to school on Thursday, and I cannot wait to get back to doing what I love most. 📸

We have had the BEST summer making memories together, and honestly, every single moment has been magic.

But autumn is calling, and I am so excited about what is coming up...

The 40/40 Project - I still have 5 spaces for women over 40 who want to be celebrated in this portrait series. If that sounds like you, say hi.

I'm out and about in my local area, actually taking school images (I can't wait to improve on some of the horrors you see from 'professional photographers' in this genre! Meet Kim.

Gold bars on the floor. Gold belt at her waist. And that look on her face that says she has absolutely nothing to prove to anyone.

Kim is a money coach. She is brilliant at it. And when we sat down in her pre-shoot consultation and I started really getting to know what makes her tick, those gold bars were not even a question. They were perfect.

This was just one of five set-ups we chose and styled together from that conversation. Every single one felt completely, unmistakably Kim.

She is participant number 29 in my 40/40 Project, a portrait series I am creating to celebrate 40 incredible women over 40. Each one brings her own story, her own confidence, her own sense of who she is. And every single session leaves me in awe.

We are almost there. But we still have 5 spaces left.

Meet Liza, such an incredible actress and a truly wonderful human being. It was a real privilege having her in the studio to update her performer headshots.

For anyone working as a performer, keeping your headshots up to date is one of the most important things you can do for your career. Your agent is trying to match your photos to casting specs, and if your headshots don't show enough range, they can't put you forward for as many opportunities.

That means having different expressions, different looks, different moods. Not just one "nice" photo.

That's exactly what Liza's session was all about. We used a variety of backdrops in my private studio; she had full use of the changing area, and we took the time to capture her in many different ways, so her agent has plenty to work with.

The studio is a relaxed, private space where you can really settle in and be yourself. There's no rush and no pressure, just us working together to get the shots that are going to open doors for you.

5am. On the beach. Watching the sunrise with the brilliant Jude.

Honestly, it was one of those mornings you never forget - and working with Jude made it even more special. She was an absolute joy from start to finish. Up for giving absolutely everything a go, throwing herself into it with bags of energy and a real willingness to try things - and the images completely reflect that. They are full of life and movement and that gorgeous, striking quality you only get when someone is genuinely present and going for it.

Jude was after fresh environmental content for her website - real images that feel like her, in a setting that suits her, lit by something no studio can recreate. So we set the alarms, headed to the coast, and caught that incredible 5am sunrise light together.

And it delivered. That early morning golden light is something else - soft, warm, wrapping around everything. Every single shot was just gorgeous.

What I love about sessions like this is how many ways the images can work for you. Website pages, social media posts, email campaigns, profile pictures, press features... Meet Louise. 📸

She took a while to build up the courage to come and view her images after her session, and I completely get it. There is something really vulnerable about seeing yourself properly captured on camera, especially for the first time.

But when she finally sat down to look... she loved them.

We got so many brilliant sides of her - fun and playful with sunglasses and space buns, confident and elegant in black, and then just... herself, beaming, relaxed, genuinely happy. It was wonderful to watch.

There's also another set of images from her session that are just for Louise and the people she chooses to share them with... 🤫 I'll just say they went down very well. 🔥

This is what it looks like when a portrait becomes something you can actually hold.

Heatwave number 5 is arriving tomorrow and I am HERE for it! ☀️

This summer has genuinely been something special for Norfolk's coastline and golden hour on the beach has been producing the most incredible light. Just look at this...

But first... please take care of yourselves out there! Stay hydrated, wear your sun cream, take breaks in the shade and don't underestimate the heat. It's lovely but it's proper hot. 🌊

And if a little voice in your head has been saying "I'd love some photos on the beach this summer" listen to that voice! The light right now is extraordinary, the locations are magical, and there is nothing quite like a golden hour beach session when the weather is being this glorious.

Meet Georgia - coach, business owner, and someone who completely owned her branding session from start to finish.

I love a client who walks in knowing what they want but also trusts the process... and Georgia did exactly that. We tried a handful of different looks and settings - from leaning casually against the wall, to that full-length shot on the wooden stepladder (honestly one of my favourites from the whole day), to a proper power pose in her white blazer that gave me all the good vibes.

The result? A gallery full of images that are authentically HER. Warm, confident, approachable, and completely on brand for the work she does.

If you are a coach - or any kind of business owner - and you are still relying on a selfie or an old phone photo to represent you online, this is your sign. Your clients are Googling you.
