This one made my heart sing. ✨

Three weeks ago, I had the absolute privilege of photographing East Theatre Arts' very first year-end showcase - and oh my goodness, the talent. Every single performer gave everything they had, and you could feel it from the very back of the room.

Here's something a lot of people don't know about me: before I picked up a camera professionally, I spent years working in stage management - including West End productions. The theatre really is my second home. So when I get to photograph dance and performance work, it's not just a job. It genuinely brings me joy in the most complete way.

Watching these young performers command the stage, seeing the hours of work come together in those few minutes of spotlight - that's what it's all about.

I want to introduce you to Linda. 💛

Linda is part of my 40/40 Project - a portrait series celebrating 40 remarkable women over 40. And her story is one I keep coming back to, because it perfectly sums up why this project means so much to me.

It took Linda over a year to find the courage to come and see her pictures. Over a year of wondering whether she was worth it, whether the images would be "good enough", whether SHE was good enough.

She was. She absolutely, completely, undeniably was.

When she finally came in for her reveal, she was just thrilled. And I? I was completely made up for her.

This is what I LOVE about the 40/40 Project. I get to watch women arrive at their session - often a little nervous, a little unsure - and by the time they leave, that confidence has just exploded out of them. It never, ever gets old.

A huge thank you to the brilliant , who did Linda's hair and makeup and had her feeling completely at ease right from the start.

And here's a special little detail - Linda was the very FIRST client to visit my brand new studio for her reveal. Seeing her beautiful images displayed large on the wall, alongside my own artwork, was honestly such a wonderful moment. The best way to open a new studio. ✨

Right now, your dog is stealing your seat on the sofa, demanding walks at 6am, and somehow always knowing when you're sad. It feels like this is just life. Normal. Everyday. Forever.
