Whatever you do, don't drop the bride.

Guests lifted Emma up on a chair during the party at Happy Valley, she clipped the glitter ball, and it was game over. Straight back down she went. Somehow, mid-chaos, she still found George's hand on the way and held on for dear life, all the way down.

The ceremony at Southwood Hall had barely finished and Victoria and Ben were already slipping away, just the two of them.

They'd written their own vows and wanted a proper moment to share them with each other, away from the crowd, before the day swept them up again.

One wedding day, start to finish. 09:00 to 22:00, no time limit.

Sarah and George got married at Park Farm in Norfolk. I arrived at 9am to film bride prep, then over to George at midday to get him ready into his suit. The ceremony was at 2pm, full of emotion. At 8pm, after the first dance, the guests surprised the couple with a full flashmob.

Some filmmakers would have packed up by then. I was about to start packing up myself when George and his new sister-in-law grabbed the mic and had the whole room singing along.

That's the moment I'd have missed if I stuck to a schedule. It's why I don't watch the clock on a wedding day. If it matters, I'm there for it.

Laura-May and Matt's wedding at Bruisyard Hall had the most relaxed feel to it, exactly what they wanted.

Everyone got ready on site, Laura-May upstairs in the Bridal Suite and Matt down in the games room. Ceremony out in the gardens in glorious sunshine, their celebrant had everyone laughing with story after story about the couple. Confetti followed out the front of the house, catching the afternoon light beautifully.

The evening carried that same relaxed feel, drinks on the lawn by the barn with friends, and a walk through the long grass for some quiet couples footage.

Just the perfect chilled day.

Jenny & Jim couldn't wait to feed the meerkats! 🐾

Such a lovely moment for these two. During their pre-wedding meeting, they told me a big part of choosing their venue came down to this exact thing, the chance to have an animal experience on their wedding day.

Hockwold Hall is a truly unique wedding venue in Norfolk. Not just a stunning backdrop for your big day, but a magical animal encounter too.
