We're delighted to now be able to share that, back in 2023 we tendered for and were awarded a Framework Contract to provide ongoing quarterly collection services along a 3km stretch of the .

Over the 5 years that we've been working with Cefas, our flight permissions have evolved significantly allowing us to offer time and efficiency savings - crucial when you need to capture a lot of intertidal data within a single low tide window.

We're delighted to share the exciting news that we now have CAA authorisation to fly the SPARROW HAWK Vertical Take Off and Landing ( ) drone from StirlingX (A Gallos company) out to 15km from a Remote Pilot with 'Visual Mitigation' in place ( ).

This is another crucial step on our journey towards carrying out fully flights along the 60km construction corridor of the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone project. Our work with StirlingX and other key project partners continues under the Civil Aviation Authority BVLOS Sandbox Trial and we'll share further updates as the trial progresses.

The new CAA authorisation allows us to fly nighttime missions over in urban areas out to 9km from our pilots and 2.5km from Visual Observers.

We have some fantastic news to share!

We've just received UK Civil Aviation Authority permission to fly our DJI M300 series survey drones out to 9,000m (yes that's 9km or 5.6 miles).

Our latest CAA-approved 'Phase 3' Operating Safety Case (OSC) allows us to further reduce our crew presence on the ground and minimise disturbance to landowners, their livestock and to sensitive ecosystems.

HexCam has just taken a 9km step towards BVLOS drone flights with CAA approval of their latest Operating Safety Case (OSC).

HexCam’s journey towards Beyond Visual Line Of Sight ( ) flights continues with the successful completion of short-range test flights of the drone that will eventually be seen flying along RWE’s Norfolk Offshore Wind Project onshore construction corridor.

The completion of these first test flights marks a significant milestone for us and our project partners and puts us a step closer to achieving our Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) backed BVLOS Sandbox project goals.

The “SPARROW HAWK” Vertical Take-Off and Landing ( ) drone supplied by StirlingX, a GALLOS company, was delivered to us in early May and we were joined by our collaborative partners from StirlingX and Global Drone Training for system training and familiarisation into June.

Our friends at PilotAware have just announced an important collaboration with Flarm to enhance the "interoperability" of their collective systems. We've been using the Rosetta FX on our M300 survey drones for a few weeks now and will be soon be setting up a network of PilotAware "ATOM" stations as part of our trials in Norfolk.

We're delighted to be working with Nottingham City Council once again, carrying out detailed thermal mapping and reporting for the city's District Heating Network (DHN).

Through one night at the end of February we flew more than 120 km over the city thermally mapping the route of the underground DHN pipework. Our partners at Drone Systems ApS are now busy processing the data collected to produce high quality thermal mapping, detailed analysis and full reporting on the network's condition.

Only aerial thermography can cover such a wide area in such a short time and in such an unobtrusive way, overcoming access challenges in often hard to reach areas.
