Taking tomorrow off, it’s my birthday. Lab’s closed Monday 24th, open Tuesday 25th (1-6) instead, just this once.

Drop film in the box outside any time, or pop in Tuesday and we’ll sort you out in person.

Normal hours (Tuesdays closed, as always) are back next week.

Last week you lot properly rinsed us, in the best possible way. We’re not complaining, it’s exactly why we do this.

So tomorrow, Monday 3rd, the counter’s closed to walk ins for the day. It’s just the one pair of hands here, and we love a natter as much as anyone, but that means scanning waits whenever we’re on the counter. So for one day we’re giving the backlog our full attention, so every roll gets done properly rather than squeezed in around hellos.

Postal drop offs and the Dropbox keep running exactly as normal, so if you’re sending film our way, nothing changes on your end.

Back open for walk ins Thursday, backlog cleared and plenty of time for a natter.

Did someone say “awesome affordable camera”?!
We are now stocking the wonderful Kodak Snapic A1 point & shoot camera! For its price, we absolutely adore it. Decent, fast lens, auto wind/rewind, light and compact, LCD screen with frame count and scene/flash control. AND it has a multiple exposure setting. What more could you ask for for less than £100?!

May Favourites.
A little late this one; June and July have been the busiest months the lab has ever had, and picking through the rolls takes time when there’s a queue at the door.
Over 10,000 images came through the lab in May. These are the ones that caught our eye.

Some beautiful presents gifted to me by two of my lovely customers; Richie and Libbie have been coming into Lab for the past 10 months and I have always loved their photography. Over seventy rolls through the lab today. And we came in on a day off just to get through the backlog.

Monday brought in so many that we couldn’t leave you all waiting. So here they are, prepped on their leaders, stacked up and ready to go through one at a time. That string of dockets behind them? Not even half of what we ran today.

This is the good kind of busy. Thank you for keeping the lab full.

Heads up: the lab is closed today.

Norwich is cooking, and our corner of Capitol House is all old brick, no air con, and machines that pump out heat while needing to hold a steady temperature for the chemistry. Push the room past forty degrees and the processing stops being reliable, which means your film stops being safe. Not a gamble worth taking with your rolls.

So we have made the call to shut for the day. Saturday is looking similar, so there is a chance we close then too. We will confirm either way before the weekend.

Anything already with us is sitting somewhere cool and safe. Turnaround just shifts by a day or so while we wait the heat out. Drink water, find some shade, and we will see you when it cools down.
