Beautiful morning down by the river, we are so lucky to have this natural space.

What I don't understand is that when people visit, they can carry bottles, cans, cups, plastics, someones boxer shorts, etc. down there, but not back to a bin (even though a couple of bits were literally 10 steps away from a bin, but still chucked in the hedge bottom?)!

Did a little bit of a litter pick on the way round with the dogs ... ended up with half a bin liner full!?

Insects are not my usual subject, but they are something that will catch my attention from time to time (and not just getting biten by mosquito's!)

Here are a few recent photo's that show a few different insects, butterflies, dragonflies, damsel flies, bees, caterpillars (I think this is the caterpillar for the drinker moth).

I'm not sure that the Sony 400-800mm lens is best suited to this type of subject, but it seems to have done a good job. This is mainly because this is usually attached to my A1ii camera, so I capture what I see in the moment.

Hope you like these as they are a bit different to my usual subjects!

Grey Heron.

Early start the other day (about 5:30am), and sat watching this Heron.
The sun was just coming up over the tree line and illuminated the scene beautifully, giving the reflections of the reeds.
