Vikki & Ash | Norwood Park
A half day at Norwood Park for Vikki & Ash, covering their outdoor ceremony, family photographs and some time with the two of them afterwards.
I started with a few aerial shots of Norwood Park. Set amongst the Nottinghamshire countryside, it’s a great way to set the scene and show the surroundings before getting into the wedding itself.
Most of the day was spent outdoors and, from a photography point of view, the light was spot on. Everyone loves a sunny wedding, but strong summer sun can actually be pretty horrible to photograph in. Hard light, harsh shadows and lots of squinting! Vikki & Ash had lovely soft, overcast light which is far more flattering for outdoor photographs.
I love using flash and creating darker, more dramatic images, so this was actually a nice change for me. Every photograph from this wedding was created using natural, ambient light. Not a single flash fired all day!
After the ceremony we photographed a few family groups, then finished with a wander around the grounds for some photographs of Vikki & Ash before they headed off for their evening reception.
Congratulations Vikki & Ash! Here’s a little selection from the day.
