To mark Volunteers’ week, we were delighted to host our annual Volunteer Appreciation Event on Sunday here at the hospice. This event allows us to celebrate our incredible volunteers who give their time, compassion, and dedication to support our patients, families, and staff.✨
Nearly 30 of our wonderful volunteers joined us from a variety of roles across the hospice. The afternoon was filled with laughter, friendship, and celebration. Our guests enjoyed delicious afternoon tea boxes and cake, whilst enjoying each other’s company for some garden games and photo booth opportunities.
We were also proud to present our Long Service Award certificates, recognising the commitment of our volunteers over many years. Our lovely volunteer Mary received her 25-Year Award and had the honour of helping Esther, our Director of Clinical Services, cut the celebration cake.
Esther concluded the event by delivering a heartfelt speech to thank everyone for the invaluable contribution they make to Mary Ann Evans Hospice every single day.
