Wishing you all a very Happy St Patrick's day wherever you are in the world from me here in Omagh Co Tyrone!☘️☘️☘️

This is an image taken in the Glenelly Valley near Plumbridge in the southern Sperrin mountains. It is said St Patrick himself passed through this area many years ago.

You might have noticed I haven't been posting too much photos lately..so I have decided to take a break from photography for a while. I might post the odd photo from time to time but not as frequently.
I'm just glad to have be able to show our local landscapes to people all around the world especially those who have moved away and like to see what home looks like nowadays.

So I just want to thank you all for your support and kind words over the years. It really means a lot to me .

Thanks again and so long for now! Liam 🙏👋

One from a few years ago up in the Gortin Glens in Co Tyrone.

This fellow turned around towards me at just the right time.
I wonder if all the deer have heart shaped rear ends?😂

A few photos of the Gortin Glens taken this morning.

It started snowing again just as I was walking in to the park so I took some photos as the snow fell.
It's a great place to visit and even better in the snow!

My first image of the year taken early this morning up at Pigeon Top outside Omagh.

There was some lovely light as the sun got up but it was very cold and frosty and I didn't hang around too long!

The weather has turned a lot colder and the coming week will be very cold so take care on the roads.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year from me here in Omagh! 🎉❄️🥶

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas from me here in Omagh!

We haven't had any snow here yet just the usual wind and rain but I'm sure we will get some soon as there was a dusting on the hills and higher ground. This was from last year out by the old Drumragh bridge.
Thanks to everyone who has purchased any of my prints this past year. And thank you all for your comments, likes and shares of my images. Much appreciated!

Enjoy the holidays and I will see you all in the new year! 🎄🎉🎅

A colourful but very chilly start to the day in Omagh this morning ❄️

It's been a cold few days here this week but warming up again over the weekend.
The sky was a vibrant red before sunrise this morning and I managed to get this shot of the town spires as Omagh awoke to another frosty November day.

A view of Omagh from Bessy Bell mountain.

This is an image taken a while back looking across Omagh in a south east direction from the very top of Bessy Bell mtn which is maybe around 5 or 6 miles north west of the town. I have featured Bessy Bell in a fair few of my images so this time the view is from the opposite side.
You can see the Strule River in the foreground as well as the new link road and of course the church spires stand out too.
As mentioned this is looking south east so would be looking towards the Clogher area or maybe Knockmany and even Monaghan beyond that.
(Btw that smoke is coming from the industrial area of the Bankmore Rd on the outskirts of the town)

An autumnal scene taken this morning at Laurel Rd Clanabogan just a few miles south of Omagh. I was driving around hoping all the leaves weren't gone yet but as you can see a lot of them are falling so I had to stop and take this photo before they are gone.
Also the mild weather has prolonged the autumnal colours this year although one more stormy day would probably blow the remaining leaves away.

Although the weather has been very mild and calm lately, there has been hardly any sun and the days have been very dull. So great weather for the time of year but not great for photography as there has been no sunlight at all. Today was nice though.Next week looks a bit better too as autumn comes to an end.

Autumn colours in the Gortin Glens.

This is an image taken around this time last year up at Gortin Glen Forest Park Co Tyrone.
The variety in colours as seen from the drone are amazing from this viewpoint. I did post a similar image to this but this wider image takes in a lot more of the colourful scenery of the Gortin Glens.

'Leap Bridge Aurora'

This is an image from last nights amazing aurora display. Never thought I would see it again after the display in May..twice in one year. Who knows it could be a long time before we see it again!

I got a few images from around the local area but this one at the Leap Bridge between Omagh and my home town of Beragh was my favourite. This was very visible to the naked eye as it was in the countryside away from the lights of the town. An amazing array of colours for quite a while.
A wonderful thing to witness 👌
