Gemma is amazing, so professional & took the most fantastic photos of our wedding day with us barely even noticing! She just blends in and managed to document it all. When I looked at the photos I was thinking oh my god I can't believe she captured that little moment so beautifully!

We had our son and 3 nephews as part of our day & the little smiles, jumps and moments are all there as well as us in those moments that make the day what it is!

Gemma took the most beautiful, natural looking photos of me and my husband around the hotel (Farnham). She knew how to help us to stand in the best way & it was all just so seamless and easy for us (and I usually pose so awkwardly so Gemma is honestly a magician!!).

She is so lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her. She also took group shots of our extended families & she was so good at this, so on the ball and patient (directing and gathering large groups of people is hard work!!).

Overall, I am so so grateful we had Gemma to document our wedding day and wow, what a wonderful job she did. I HIGHLY recommend Gemma. We will fondly look back on these beautiful photos forever!

One day, these photos will be the most precious thing you own.

Your kids will find them. You'll show them to people who weren't there. You'll look at them on a random Tuesday and feel so grateful you have them.

Choose someone who understands the weight of that. It makes all the difference.

I think about that a lot when I'm working. The weight of being trusted with someone's day... the real version of it, not the polished version.

The quiet moments and the messy ones and the ones nobody planned for. Those are the ones that matter most in the end.

So when you're choosing your photographer, look for someone who gets that. Who photographs like it means something. Because it does.

It really, really does.

What is it about a wedding day that has me skipping home in delight?

It's not the venue. Although a venue where you don't have to worry about the weather definitely helps.

Ultimately it's the energy and the vibe of the couple, both how they vibe with me and importantly how they vibe with each other. A couple who are easy in each others company are often a joy to work with.

Secondly, it's allowing enough breathing room in your timeline to allow for a little bit of creativity, because ultimately, I see myself as an artist, as well as a documentarian. And when there's space and energy for just a little creativity ...magic happens ✨️
