Opening plans for this week for the floating Lancashire Wool shop.
The Wool Boats plans for 7th to 13th September 2026
First off, it’s back to the Slipway for Thursday afternoon the 10th of September for the Knit and Natter in the pub when everyone is all welcome to join the Slipway Stitchers in the pub, welcoming any stitchers, in which ever craft, to join them from 1 until about 4. For further info call Carole on 07919 598911.
The Wool Boat should be moored outside with Capt Col in charge open outside The Slipway on Crabtree Lane, (L40 0RN) open from 1-4. from
Then for the 1st time, if the weather is fit, since May we are going a bit further along the canal back to Parbold where hopefully there will be a mooring for us then we can be open on Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th of September open from 11 to 4 each day.

Will we get a mooring in Burscough? Will try again on Sunday
The plan is to be open near The Slipway on Thursday afternoon, the 6th August while it is the Knit and Natter in the pub when everyone is all welcome to join the Slipway Stitchers in the pub, welcoming any stitchers, in which ever craft, to join them from 1 until about 4. For further info call Carole on 07919 598911.
You may find Capt Col in the pub as it gets nearer 4 o clock!
Then providing there is a mooring and it’s not too windy we will be back in Burscough near the Wharf on Sunday the 9th of August open from 11 to 4.
If we can’t get a mooring we’ll be available from the public footpath alongside our mooring off Crabtree Lane near Burscough.
James C Bretts are discontinuing the “Fairground” range of self-patterning yarns, we have a reasonable stock but it won’t last forever so if you have it on your yarny wish list now is the time to buy.
It is also available from our web shop if you can’t visit us in person.
