Just yesterday, I woke up feeling super slick up, but a few things happened and I was on my arse again!

A little self-loathing arrived, so naturally, I had a salad for lunch 😜

But after 10 years of working for myself, I don’t let it have its way as much! I have goals that are bigger than the insane messages my brain sends me. So I carry on regardless, for me, the women I serve and my family.

The truth is, there will always be doubt sandwiched right next to the wins. Always.

So if we know this, why do we do it?

Because once you’ve tasted freedom, creativity and purpose on your own terms, it’s very hard to g back.

It’s one of the most amazing things to be driven and led by, but it ain’t for the faint hearted 💛

Which stage are you at? ✨

Welcome to my new series all about STACKING! 💥

Good pictures don’t happen by accident - they happen when you stack simple ingredients together, just like this!

I’ve put together my favourite iPhone settings, shortcuts and hacks into a free guide called ‘Your iPhone, But Better!’

💌 Comment PHONE and I’ll send it over 📱✨💃🏻

Don’t tell the tech lovers, but the best camera isn’t always the one with the biggest sensor or the juiciest pixels - it’s the one that’s with you when life happens!

Here are my fav travel-friendly recommendations that pack a punch, for all budgets. It’s always worth researching a used option too✨

If you want to learn how to take pictures on any device, my new course ‘the social eye’ is happening on 6th July.

When I first picked up a camera nearly 10 years ago, I chased subjects and completely overlooked light.

I had no idea it was the main ingredient that would change not only how my pictures looked, but how they felt.

Light sits at the heart of how I teach photography because when you learn to see it, your imagery transforms.

That’s exactly what my new course THE SOCIAL EYE is all about - helping you create stronger images on any device (yes, phones included too) so you can build a personal or business brand that feels like you, connects with your audience and gets you out there!

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but after 5 years… I’m finally creating another BIG course 💥

Say hi to THE SOCIAL EYE - starting 5th July!

This is for every kind of picture taker:
📱 phone users
📷 camera lovers
✨ complete beginners
✨ photographers
✨ creatives
✨ business owners

Because creating beautiful imagery shouldn’t be reserved for people with expensive gear or loads of technical knowledge.

THE SOCIAL EYE is about learning how to create magnetic content on the go, with whatever device is closest to you.

It’s about:
• taking amazing pictures without the overwhelm that align with your account
• understanding what makes imagery FEEL good
• creating more cohesive socials - understanding the power of the grid and stories
• building a visual style that actually feels like YOU
• learning how to tell your visual story with confidence

And if you already know photography, but your socials still feel random, disconnected or hard to keep up with… this course is for you too!

If this sounds like your thing, comment EYE and I’ll send you the waitlist details 💛

I took some time yesterday to revisit some pics I took last summer in Nazaré, and was surprised at what I binned in the first edit 🙈

I can’t recommend revisiting your old images more. As we evolve as photographers, our eye and style changes, and what we once discarded becomes gold, through a new lens.

If you’d like to start your photography journey…
💌 comment BYE AUTO and I’ll send you my free 30min workshop to get you into manual mode!

Lightroom users… this one’s a game changer ✨

If you’ve ever cropped into a photo and wondered why it suddenly looks soft or low quality, this is why.

‘Super Resolution’ in Lightroom can help rebuild detail back into the file, making cropped, older and low-res photos look way better!

Let me know what you think when you’ve tried it 💥

When I first started learning photography and taking pictures of people, I focused so much on posing, but I wish I’d paid more attention to the light…

…because get that right and you’re 90% of the way there!

These were all taken in less than 10 minutes with my family at 5.30pm in a nearby forest. No fancy set up needed. Just full focus on what the light was doing.

Great photography isn’t about waiting for the right light to show up - think of how many shots you’re missing! It’s about learning to use what’s there ✨

So next time you see bright light, try placing it behind your subjects instead. You’ll open up so many more opportunities for yourself.

Follow for more light and story tips ✨

Seriously, blow me down with a feather! 😜 This pocket photography fan by CineWind is super powerful. My son held it about 2m away from my daughter as I took her picture.

It’s the perfect wind machine for portraits. Don’t judge a fan by its size 😜 It’s a pocket rocket!

If you want to start your own photography journey, my beginners course begins tomorrow!
