A must go museum on weekdays if you want to have a better dialogue with the works. It is not a big museum in which you can comfortably spend 2 hrs appreciate the paintings / works closely without any distraction. It covers art works in different forms from medieval times to contemporary times. I love this spectrum cause I might feel a bit bored to look at oil paintings only. Highly recommend!

Taikoo Place, Quarry Bay

One amazing thing about Hong Kong is how bridges are densely packed in most districts. They don’t just serve as express ways connecting you across streets, but also give us a new perspective to observe this city.

But let’s face it, their existence don’t alter human nature. People just don’t particularly like climbing up and down if there’s a choice. Even an air-conditioned bridge like this one doesn’t seem to be more attractive than the at-grade crossing.

This enchanting view was once the reason for countless visitors coming to see in person, a miracle that made this little city internationally well-known. As for me, however, it’s the remaining buildings I can still identify that appeared in the same view when I was a kid.

Quarry Bay, Hong Kong

Completed in 1960s. It has been a very popular shooting place for photographers / videographers due to its hyper-dense configuration, specially looking from the narrow courtyard between blocks.

This unique architecture has appeared in various movies such as “Transformers: Age of Extinction”, “Ghost in The Shell” music video “Labyrinth”.
