So, for anyone in the Buckingham area, I'll be giving my 'Architecture : Ancient to Modern' phototalk at Buckingham Camera Club on Wednesday 10th June, 8pm.

It's an opportunity to see my favourite Architectural images from my travels and will contain many of my tips and tricks I use to capture eye-catching, interesting photos.

I think it's free for visitors so that's not an excuse not to be there......

Does anyone know if this is a scam? I didn't think it was possible to buy Photoshop as a standalone program anymore. At £30 that's the same as two months subscription so it seems 'too good to be true', always a red flag when it comes to scams..... https://www.wowcher.co.uk/deal/shop/electricals/software/43377277/photoshop-2026-lifetime-windows

Reading the small print it is a 'refurbished license' so probably it was originally bought by a big organisation. You also wouldn't get updates after the end of the year but that doesn't seem to be a big issue if you can just buy a 2027 version next year for a similar amount.....

Only really bad photographers need apply...... https://www.icelandair.com/flights/campaign/really-bad-photographer/

From Petapixel, "In a move that feels equal parts marketing stunt and dream assignment, Icelandair is searching for what it calls a “really bad photographer.” Not aspiring, not improving, and definitely not professional, but genuinely bad, with a 10-day trip to Iceland and $50,000 on the line.

The premise is simple. Icelandair wants to prove that Iceland is so visually striking that even the most underwhelming photographer can come home with great images. If your camera roll is filled with missed focus, awkward framing, and accidental finger-in-the-frame masterpieces, you may finally have your moment.

Applicants are asked to answer a short set of questions and, if they are feeling bold, submit a 60-second video explaining why their particular brand of photographic mediocrity deserves global recognition."

For years I’d dreamt of visiting and photographing the CityofArtsandSciences. It didn’t disappoint and having spent two full days of my trip there it’s fair to say I’ve plenty more photos to come.......
