They used to say 'Life beings at 40'..... then it was 30..... but for me, life began at 29. Photography is my passion, but until now it hasn't been my job. When I was eight years old I won a colouring competition and first prize was a camera. Even then I loved taking photographs, and it set off an interest in me that has lasted over twenty years. I studied photography for seven years, at GCSE, A L
evel and through a BA Honours degree in Editorial and Advertising Photography. However, as I am sure many can relate to, I didn't end up practising my study professionally. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and attempted to embrace these changes knowing that everything would make sense in the end. I decide to take a break from the UK and book six months of travel - Thailand, Texas, Chicago, Australia, New Zealand, Barbados, New York, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil. I had what I can only describe as a life changing six months visiting some of the most amazing locations. I hiked, biked, swam, climbed, floated and sailed my way through exquisite landscapes and experience cultures that made me question the westernised world I live in. I met interesting and inspiring people, made friends for life and pushed myself beyond limits I didn't know I had. In all of this, I knew almost as soon as I sat on the plane of my first flight that I wanted to be a photographer, to return to my passion and use the skills I trained to hard for. So here I am, chasing my dream and I hope, capturing your special and life changing moments and future memories.
