HOOF Pictures - We are story-crafters.
We came to meet Quan and Nen after another shoot in the city. Our faces were deadpan, the tube ride to their apartment had probably sucked all the energy left in us. I remembered telling Will, 'Let’s just wrap this up real quick and go home, I can't anymore, I need my hot shower and Netflix', Will quietly agreed.
But somehow our mood got greatly lightened up when we saw this couple came out of their door and greeted us. Quan wore short pantalon with a plain burgundy t-shirt, Nen had her sweet black-and-white jacket wrapping around her tiny body. They had this aura circling around, the kind that made you felt cheerful, sort of. We sat down on the sofa, they were quiet at first but after hearing our ideas, their faces lit up like a Christmas tree. Our talk went absolutely great, and then after we were about to bid them goodbye, Nen smiled sheepishly and said 'This may come as a challenge for you, but we don't really know what to do with ourselves in front of a camera'
I think that is one of the things that setting us apart from the others. We are story-crafters, we love to listen to our couples' stories, from the moment their first lay eyes on each other to that 'Yes, I will'. Because we believe to capture a good picture, you need to earn that trust from a person, that person needs to know you understand their stories and you are able to see the beauty in them. And here you have it, these pictures, and they said they couldn't pose.
