Unplanned moments… photography never stops at a wedding, when I’m not taking or organising the family or couple photos I’m off hunting for those laughs, hugs, cheers, tears from your guests.

These photos rarely get posted so I picked out a few bits from this year so you can see what happens when your photographer is not following you around but just standing back and taking in the day 🫡

CHLOE & JOHN

There’s something pretty special about photographing someone’s wedding when you first met them 15 years ago… as a junior bridesmaid! 😂 I first met Chloe at another wedding I photographed all those years ago so this one felt a little bit full circle. And yes… we will absolutely be revisiting those photos over the next few days. 🤣

This time, Chloe was the bride and what a bride she was!

Mount Stuart House was looking every bit as spectacular as ever dressed in beautiful white florals. The girls got ready in the Horoscope Room, with Chloe looking incredible in her dress from Opus Couture | Bridal Boutique | Ayrshire , while John and the boys got ready in the Billiards Room.

Chloe’s dad then walked her down that stunning marble staircase and into the Marble Chapel where they finally tied the knot. If you’ve never been inside it, it really is something else - the chapel is lined in white Sicilian marble, with inspiration taken from the Sistine Chapel.

After the ceremony came confetti, drinks and a very cute visit from Peppa the dog 🐶 and thankfully, sunshine! ☀️

Then it was time for the bridal party to take over the Drawing Room while we created some EPIC editorial group photos. The architecture of Mount Stuart is so dramatic that there was really only one option… lean into it!

Dinner was served in the Grand Hall before the room was transformed into one very packed dance floor. Fireball shots started making their way around, a limbo contest somehow appeared involving a scarf, and there were more questionable dance moves than I could possibly count. 😂

And just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, the local pipe band, led by Chloe’s sister, came marching down the stairs for a surprise performance before leading everyone out onto the front lawn for fireworks. 🎇

Honestly what a way to finish!

AMY & EWAN

What a day these two had at Enterkine Country House Resort

The morning kicked off with lots of laughs with the girls, while the groomspeople were looking very smart in their kilts and met up in the Whisky Lounge for some photos. Meanwhile, Amy was busy looking like an absolute DREAM in her very glam, very sparkly dress ✨

The ceremony with Suzie the Celebrant was full of fun before we headed outside for confetti and then it was straight into couple photos.

I had a sneaky suspicion the rain was coming so we decided to get ALL the couple photos done first. And honestly… the timing could not have been better 😂

We literally finished the last photo, headed inside… and the heavens OPENED. 🌧️☔️

So Amy & Ewan spent the rest of the afternoon inside, catching up with family, chatting to everyone and generally enjoying the fact they were finally married!

Then came the party… and the dance floor was absolutely packed!🕺🏼💃🏼 Exactly what you want to see!

A gorgeous couple, a ridiculously sparkly dress, kilts, lots of laughs and some seriously impressive Scottish weather. What more could you ask for? 🤍

JENNIFER & CHRIS

A day that felt effortlessly elegant from start to finish.

Jennifer and Chris were married at the beautiful Lochgreen House Hotel & Spa with both their ceremony and wedding breakfast held inside the stunning glass pavilion. Filled with fresh flowers in soft creams, whites and beiges the whole space was timeless, romantic and flooded with natural light.

Chris looked incredibly dapper in his three-piece suit and Jennifer made the most beautiful bride. With the sun shining all afternoon, everyone spilled out into the gardens after the ceremony for confetti, drinks and family photos before we wandered through the grounds together for some gorgeous portraits.

The speeches had everyone laughing and as the evening light poured through the glass pavilion, it made such a special setting for dinner. We even managed to sneak away for a few golden hour photos before the dance floor filled up and it stayed packed for the rest of the night.

A truly beautiful day for two lovely people. 🤍

KATIE-MAIRI & AIDAN

A wedding day made for the most adventurous of couples, surrounded by woodland, wildflowers, sunshine and the most beautiful stretch of beach at Harvest Moon Weddings

Their ceremony took place beneath the pine trees, with wildflowers bringing the whole setting to life. The burnt orange bridesmaid dresses added the perfect autumnal feel, while all the little nieces and nephews made their way down the aisle - possibly the cutest wedding party ever. 🥹

After the ceremony came the confetti line, followed by family photos amongst the woodland. Katie-Mairi & Aidan then took a slow wander back towards the drinks reception, stopping along the way for some gorgeous couple portraits amongst the trees.

With the sun shining drinks were enjoyed outside the stunning new barn before Katie-Mairi & Aidan headed off for some private vows and photos at the beach. White sand, long grass and the most incredible scenery - it felt like such a special little escape just for the two of them. 🌊

Then it was back to the barn, where Katie-Mairi’s mum toasted the newlyweds outside before dinner, speeches and celebrations began.

An absolutely beautiful day for two people who clearly love a little adventure. 🤍✨

CHLOE & JORDAN

From the moment I arrived at Enterkine Country House Resort it was clear this was going to be one hell of a party! Chloe and her bridesmaids brought the energy from the very start! The girls had the most gorgeous buttercup yellow bridesmaid dresses whilst Chloe looked incredible in her 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐚 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚 gown and extra-long veil. 😍

The boys scrubbed up pretty well too, looking handsome in their kilts. The ceremony was performed by the brilliantly funny David Smith Humanist Celebrant plenty of laughs mixed in with all the lovely moments. 🥹

Then came the Scottish weather… 🌧️ Drinks outside turned into drinks inside but we made the most of it! With Danny Sweet keeping the tunes flowing, we got creative with photos around the bar and whiskey lounge before sneaking outside just in time for a few more photos before dinner. 📸🥃

And then the evening party absolutely popped off from the word go! Jordyn Kelly from Tartan Entertainment Group | Event & Wedding DJs got everyone on the dance floor, followed later by Shades of Sax 🎷 a whole lot of dancing, singing and chaos!

A brilliant day, an incredible couple and the BEST energy from start to finish. Chloe & Jordan, you were an absolute dream! 💛🥂

The Engine Works is a venue best known for its industrial background. With lots of different rooms to use, brick walls and metal beams it’s the perfect venue to get creative in.

A blank canvas with attitude 😎

I loved Chloe and Kevin’s elegant outfits and how they stand out around the surrounding architecture. This was such a fun day with ample time to explore the building and use the best spots for photos 🔥

A day full of family, fun and so many brilliant little moments at the The Stair Arms Hotel 🤍

Ellie looked absolutely stunning in her dress from One of a Kind Bridal. She’s such a natural beauty, and when the whole look came together she looked incredible.

There wasn’t a dry eye when Kieran saw their two little ones, Willow and Luca, run down the aisle straight into his arms- closely followed by his stunning bride-to-be. 🥹🤍

After the ceremony everyone headed outside into the gardens for confetti, family photos and a few well-earned drinks in the sunshine. I whisked Ellie & Kieran away to some nearby fields for their couple photos, with the wind doing its thing and giving us a little extra movement and style.

Then came dinner and Boogie Bingo! 💃🕺 Let’s just say there were a lot of people standing on chairs and dancing, and it was every bit as much fun as it sounds!

And because I’m a big fan of an evening outfit change, Ellie swapped her wedding dress for the cutest little mini dress after the first dance - perfect for dancing the night away. We snuck out for a few final couple photos in her second look to finish the evening perfectly.

A gorgeous couple, two gorgeous little people, the best kind of atmosphere and a day that was completely them. 🤍

✨ Lauren & Chris at Brig o’ Doon ✨

A beautiful, sunny wedding day for Lauren & Chris at Brig O’ Doon House Hotel relaxed, elegant and completely timeless 🤍

Lauren looked incredible in her Joyce Young Collections Bridal dress, finished with the most amazing giant bow on the back. The venue was dressed in beautiful white florals, creating the perfect elegant backdrop for the day.

And the sweetest moment of all… Josie the dog making her way down the aisle with the rings! 🐶💍

With the sunshine out, guests could enjoy drinks in the gorgeous gardens before settling in for the celebrations. Thee, once the evening got underway, fantastic live music from HOT DATE | WEDDING & EVENTS MUSIC had everyone on the dance floor. 🕺🏼✨

One of those days that just felt effortlessly beautiful from beginning to end. 🤍
