Art and Photography have always been competing forces in my life from a very young age. Since I was able to hold a pencil, I would sit quietly and happily draw. I can always remember sneaking pencils and paper out of my great grandad’s top draw and toddling off in a world of my own, creating images from my imagination. Art has always been a very calming influence that has grown with me. It wasn’t

until I was 14, that my artistic talents prompted my dad to buy me my first camera - that urge to capture moments in front of me ignited a passion that has never left. In fact it was my new found love of photography that introduced me to my love affair with steam locomotives! As I got older I didn’t know whether it would be a career in art or photography that I would follow…but the universe works in funny ways! When I left school, as luck would have it, there was a job advertised at my local paper, and so my career path for photography became set. I have worked as a qualified, professional photographer for almost three decades, working at many regional and national publications. My career has taken me around the world, witnessing many historic events and meeting many, many amazing and interesting people; from the downright humble to the world famous. Since working in busy newsrooms, life’s changed. I’m a proud mum of two based in the Scottish Borders. Shortly after the birth of my daughter I knew the time was right to finally take the big step and go it alone. A chance for me to pass on my creativity and experience to others by doing what I do best. I now concentrate on those things that I have such dedication for myself; Family life. Whether that be the new beginnings of a wedding or a newborn baby - family get togethers or significant birthdays - fluffy friends or personal achievements. This adventure through life that we all share deserves documenting. Whether you choose me for my art or my photography, know that my passion and creativity shines through and is yours to keep and cherish forever. Life is full of precious memories. And capturing them to keep forever, will always be my passion.

I feel so happy today - the sun is shining and it is meant to stay around for my School Mini Sessions AND Spring Sessions on Saturday!! 🌞 Today I have made the most of it and finally got around to photographing my new creations! These are Orgonite pieces - helping to neutralise harmful EMFs - I create discs for phones, pocket pieces to carry around with you or place under your pillow and larger pieces for WiFi routers, smart meters - or to just look pretty in your room, whilst throwing out positive vibes! These are from my sister page Art, by Jayne Louise but since I have (finally)photographed them, I feel they belong on here too!! If you'd like one, please comment!
