A few lifestyle headshots from a recent client shoot. We'd completed the formal headshots for the team, these came out through the reportage 'business lifestyle' session - relaxed, natural, and an authentic vibe for the company and how nice their people are.

Having a great headshot - whether you go formal or informal! - is *critical* for looking sharp and winning clients. I've put down some of my thoughts on why (and where) you need a professional image - including a bonus 'spot the difference' between a DIY selfie and a formal portrait.

One of my favourites from a shoot for Penguin Random House with crime writer Belinda Bauer, for her new book 'The Impossible Thing' - out today!

We headed to our neck of the woods around Penarth Pier to capture her author photo for her future book jackets.

A recent shoot for Goss Makeup Artist for his Holiday collection, shot at my studio. What I love about product photography is that every permutation of a product brings fresh opportunities - there's no 'one setup fits all' - and each shoot requires careful planning and new approaches to lighting and composition 📸

This particular set was an interesting challenge. Super gloss brush handles combined with embossed gold lettering was definitely a test for lighting and post-production - but really pleased how they came out.

Had a blast on this shoot with Pikkle, masters of unconventional catering 🍣 Direct flash shooting 'live' at an event is always a challenge - it was all about capturing the real 'raw' (and sometimes messy) fun of the food.
