Of all the photographs in my Shutterstock portfolio, these humble little mint imperials have been downloaded **24 times**—and it absolutely baffles me! 🤣

Not one of my more unusual or obscure subjects. Just a pile of mints minding their own business and quietly becoming stock-photo superstars. 😂

I suppose it proves that you never really know which photograph people will need—or which seemingly ordinary object might become strangely popular!

Perhaps the mint imperials have simply found their niche. 🤍

I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful lady yesterday. 📸

Andreea is a budding actress and asked me to take a selection of headshots for her portfolio. She was an absolute natural in front of the camera—I think this beautiful portrait speaks for itself!

Fingers crossed these photographs help Andreea get herself noticed and open the door to some exciting opportunities. I’ll be able to say, “I photographed her before she was famous!” 😉

Once instantly recognisable. Now deeply missed.

The iconic Sycamore Gap tree, standing proudly between the hills beside Hadrian’s Wall—a scene photographed thousands of times, yet one that never seemed to lose its magic.

I chose black and white to strip the landscape back to its simplest forms: the sweeping curves of the hills and that unmistakable silhouette standing alone at their heart.

The tree may no longer be there, but photographs preserve the places, moments and landmarks we never imagined we might lose.

It’s been a little quiet around here lately—but don’t worry, my camera hasn’t retired! 📸

I haven’t picked it up for a while because I’ve been incredibly busy with other projects, but I’m looking forward to getting back out and rediscovering the world through my lens.

Whether you’ve followed my photography from the very beginning or you’re brand new to the page, thank you for being here and for your continued support. It genuinely means a lot.

It never ceases to amaze me which of my photographs sell on stock image websites.

This latest download? A photo of some old cutlery! 🍴

When I press the shutter, I never really know what might catch someone's eye months or even years later. Sometimes it's a dramatic landscape, sometimes it's wildlife... and sometimes it's a handful of vintage knives, forks and spoons!

I often find myself wondering where my images end up. Are they illustrating a magazine article? Appearing in a cookbook? On a website? In a presentation? It's one of the fascinating mysteries of stock photography.

It just goes to show that you should never underestimate an ordinary subject. What seems everyday to you could be exactly what someone else has been searching for.

Have you ever looked at something completely ordinary and thought, "That would never be useful"? You might be surprised!



It's one of the things I love about stock photography—you never quite know what the next download will be!

Tonight we're celebrating the small wins! 🎉

Another photograph has just been downloaded from my Shutterstock portfolio! 📸

This one is especially close to my heart – it's a beautiful cup and saucer from my Gran's treasured tea set. It's lovely to think that something with so many family memories is now being enjoyed and appreciated by someone else.

Every download, no matter how big or small, is a reminder that people around the world are discovering and enjoying my photography. Thank you to everyone who supports my work – it genuinely means the world. 💚
