A painting I made for the team around the Falmouth Pilot Cutter Pellew in celebration of the launch. The board is made from off cuts of the beam shelf. In the meantime Pellew has undergone her first sail trails and I am really frustrated to be stuck here and not able to come to Cornwall.

Again we were fortunate to be part of UNITY's Crew at the Pilot Cutter Review in May 2019. A gathering of beautiful wooden sailing ships organised by Classic Sailing featuring UNITY, AGNES, EVE OF ST MAWES (over all winner), POLY AGATHA, FREYA, HOLLY MAE, MARGUERITE, AMELIE ROSE, PEGGY, OLGA, ALICE WRAGG.
UNITY was built and is skippered by Shipwright Jon Bray (http://westcountrycutters.co.uk/) who is currently working on the 68ft Falmouth Pilot Cutter Pellew (http://thefalmouthpilotcutter.co.uk/)
PELLEW will be Joining the 2020 edition of the Pilot Cutter Review from the 22. to the 24. May.

The Pellew is now taking on her final shape. Recently the team has been working on the transom, the capping rails, the hatches, the bulkheads and prepping for the prop shaft.

This 5 minute video gives some background information about the company "Falmouth Pilot Cutter C.I.C" that is developing a ship yard for future wooden boat projects in Truro, Cornwall, where currently "The Pellew" - a 68 foot replica of a Falmouth pilot cutter - is being built.
