👋 Hi, I’m Rachel!
I've had lots of lovely new followers recently, so I thought I'd pop my face on the grid and tell you a little bit about the person behind Prettylittlesnaps By-Rachel 📸
I've been a photographer for 14 years now, which seems absolutely crazy to say! I specialise in babies, children and families, and I work from my little home garden studio in Mabe, Penryn.
I'm also Mum to two teenage girls, so I'm very familiar with children who don't fancy smiling for a photo just because someone has asked them to. 😂
And one thing you probably dont know about me… I am OBSESSED with Christmas. 🎄😂
I got married at Christmas, I absolutely love everything about it, and naturally my Christmas photoshoots are the busiest time of year. Somehow, despite the madness, they're still one of my absolute favourite things to photograph. Give me twinkly lights, Christmas music and lots of excited children and I'm happy!
I also do my own family Christmas photos every year. You'd think after 14 years of photographing children I'd have that nailed, wouldn't you? Absolutely not. 🤣 This year's involved camera timers going off when none of us were ready, everyone trying to get into position in time and general chaos. Genuinely more chaotic than pretty much any shoot I've ever done! 😂 So when I tell you not to worry if your children aren't cooperating during your session… I really do mean it.
I'm definitely a relaxed photographer. I don't expect perfect behaviour, perfect smiles or children who sit beautifully on command. Some of my favourite photographs happen in the chaos in between. ❤️
When I'm not photographing or editing, I'm usually doing Mum stuff, involved in cheerleading somewhere, drinking copious amounts of tea, or finding somewhere new to go and explore.
