A year has passed since I last posted on this account and so much has happened since. Before I say what I’ve been up to, this next series of images are from my trip away in Cornwall.

After graduating my Photography and Video degree, I started a job in an Ophthalmology Department as an Ophthalmic Photographer, photographing the back of patients’ eyes with an OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) and Fundus camera, assisting doctors and consultants with diagnostic images. I did this for 8 months gaining lots of experience in a hospital setting before achieving my dream job as a Medical Photographer in a different hospital. Now I work primarily in the photographic studio, on the wards, in surgeries and dermatology clinic. It is a very varied job and has been challenging at times but as I’m only a trainee I will be starting my postgraduate course in January to become fully qualified. I hope to be more active on this account in the near future, continuing with fashion and travel photography.

Excited to be a part of the upcoming Degree Show exhibition for BA (hons) Photography and Video at De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) 😃

I am working in collaboration with other final year Photography and Video students from De Montfort University to create this Baptisia exhibition that showcases and celebrates all the amazing still and moving image work we have produced.

For this portrait photoshoot, I wanted to focus mainly on a close-up angle of my model’s face, surrounded by different types of trees. The lighting was especially hard to control as it was cloudy day being made even darker under the trees. This meant I used a high ISO at 800-1000 with an aperture ...
