🔥 New Astro Adventure Starts Now 📸

Incredible sunset tonight in the Teide National Park here in Tenerife. I have a few nights photography coming up around the island.

I understand my ‘Scotland’s Night Sky’ name isn’t truly representative of Scotland just now but I’ll be back in Scotland after this trip to start our season!

Will share content over the next few days 🙂

😡 Looking a Nightmare! 😭

I think it's only gonna be the Isle of Skye and Harris to see the Lunar Eclipse tonight / tomorrow morning.

Unfortunately its a bit too far for me to travel at this short notice with plans early tomorrow morning.

Was really hoping for 2 eclipses in one month but Scotland for sure is not being kind with the cloud cover.

🚨 Another Eclipse This Week! 😍

Are you ready for another celestial event? This Friday morning the moon will be roughly 93% in the earths shadow and turn a beautiful red colour!

Capturing a Lunar Eclipse is very rewarding as cameras can bring out more of the red colour through higher light sensitivity or longer exposures.

The moon will be in the western skies during this event so make sure to be able see a clear view to the west.

The weather isn't looking that great just now but its still far enough away that the cloud patterns can change. I would say its gonna be best in the west coast as we'll be having east winds during next week.

Capturing two eclipses this month would be amazing!! This is very common as when their is a solar eclipse the moon and the sun are on the right line in their orbits that a lunar eclipse would happen too in the same lunar month.

🚨 Amazing Opportunity! 😀

Thank you all for the amazing feedback on my print on the Total Solar Eclipse image a few days ago. The interest in the image has been great and because this image is very special to me I'm going to put 3 very limited prints which will have a certificate of authenticity to ensure the number of the image along with my signature.

My dream is to have a very limited number of my prints up for sale as they are all on their own special to me so it has more personal value knowing that only a few are out there in houses/hotels/B+B's/Businesses etc.

As I'm writing this I had an enquiry come in for a copy so their is only 2 available on my website.

🔥 Totality and Phases! 😍

The epic moment that only the solar corona could be seen as 100% eclipse began. The haze of the sky may have hindered some of the fine details but added to an impressive glowing ring in the sky, just unbelievable.

The phases are also fun to capture over the whole eclipse and glad to make some sort of timelapse image with them all.

😍 2026 Solar Eclipse 📸

What an incredible trip. After months of hope and planning about where to go everything lined up for a truly amazing 1min 30secs of a Ring of Fire in the sky above the Mallorca coast line.

Seeing the eclipse shadow coming over the landscape was eerie and special. A moment I've always dreamed of seeing.

Who knows this event might have made me become an 'Eclipse Chaser' in the future.

This 'Diamond Ring' image is no doubt my favourite image to date.

I've got the phases of the eclipse to share as well as more totality images.

😎 Just Look At That Shadow! 🌞

So my last post did well online but unfortunately if you look at the comments a lot of people think its Ai?

I wouldn't know how to fake such a video.

Here is a wide field video sped up of totality filmed on an OSMO Pocket 4.

Also some people hated my voice in it but I'm not going to apologise for me getting excited and seeing the best pictures I've ever seen on my camera as an astrophotographer dreaming of this moment. 😃

Still editing the images so will post them soon, they are the BEST IMAGES I'VE EVER TAKEN!

You'll have plenty of eclipse images on your feed anyway today. 🥰
