Remember the irises we were waiting to bloom?

I knew they would open.

The question wasn’t if.

It was when.

As a photographer, sometimes creating the image means trusting things you can’t control. I needed the irises to bloom for today’s session with Iris—but not too soon and not too late.

So I waited.

And this morning, they were perfect.

Fifty purple irises, fully open, ready for the photoshoot exactly when they were needed.

A little reminder that not everything needs to be rushed. Sometimes the timing works out beautifully when you give it the space to.

Now I can’t wait to show you what we created together. 💜

The smallest hands somehow hold an entire family together.

There is something magical about the moment a family becomes new again.
The quiet forehead kisses.
The proud big sister smiles.
The way parents look at their baby as if the whole world suddenly softened around them.

These are the moments that pass in a blur while you’re living them… but become priceless later.

This is why newborn photography is never just about the baby.
It’s about documenting the beginning of a new chapter for everyone in the frame.

Soft light, tiny details, and the kind of love that deserves to be remembered beautifully.

One day, these photographs will feel like home.

Today’s studio assistant, miss Tita (inspired by .tiny.hand), had a very important job.

Unboxing 50 purple irises for Iris, from , felt like the beginning of a film scene. The flowers arrived. The water was poured. The studio started transforming.

And then…the irises decided they’re not emotionally ready yet.

So now we wait until Sunday for the magic to happen.

Somehow it already feels worth it.

I have a feeling this shoot is going to be beautiful in the most unexpected way.

How long do you think they’ll take to bloom properly? 🌿
