I'm calling this one The Brutal End as the conditions got the better of me after this. Driving rain and sub zero winds blowing straight down the Glen towards me. I literally stood here for 5 mins, fired off this shot and staggered back to the warmth of Gary's car! On the plus side we were next to a lovely hiking Inn with a great bar serving a lovely pint of IPA. We spent some time in there, after all we needed to dry out and warm up!

A well taken shot but there's a good reason for it and everyone's picture is unique. Glencoe Sisters

I finally got the camera out of the bag after about 6 months! Just returned from a great trip to the Highlands of Scotland. Weather was challenging but managed to grab a few images to remember the trip by. This was probably my favourite composition hence my first to edit and post.

Yes it’s a bit of a cliche shot, but I very rarely shoot bluebells and couldn’t resist in these conditions. This is a tiny patch of beech trees 10 mins from my doorstep.

From the minute I walk into my favourite Fen woodland I immediately feel confident I will find something new and interesting to shoot. It’s a very familiar place to me but I don’t take it for granted. Every visit offers new conditions, light, colour, trees that I have maybe previously overlooked or not seen. This weekend was no exception and I came back with a new selection of keepers for the book…that will be created one day!

This one made me work a bit harder on the composition given the complexity of the scene. Whilst it was lovely to look at with the eye, it wasn’t as easy to create a visually appealing 2D version of it. There’s a lot going on in this shot so may not appeal to all, but hey photography can be very subjective and I like it!
