Unwanted Attention 👀

Hey folks, back again with another nature fix today. A couple of year ago now, when I lived in Nottingham I took a trip out to a little spot near Bar Brook in the north-east of the Peak District. After grabbing the couple of shots alone curbar edge I found this incredible cluster of birch trees just off the footpath and sitting there quietly was a family of deer sheltering from the rain. This is one of the shots I managed to capture just before they noticed me skulking around in the grass.

Frozen Peaks ❄️

Hey folks, as spring eases closer with everyday I thought I’d share probably my last winter shot of the season with you all. Having not experienced too much cold this year, I’ve had to go through my archive in search of a bit of the good stuff. This shot located up in the high peaks, when Derbyshire turned into a winter wonderland a couple of years ago is the perfect example of what condition I’ve missed this year.

Golden Fields 🌾

Hi folks, it’s been over a week now since my last post and here in the Uk we’ve had a lot of stormy weather bringing rain, snow and lots of wind. Now though it seems to have settled down, the sun is out and the first signs of spring are starting to show. This one was taken last year on a very harm summers evening quite close to home, hope you like it.

Watching the sky Explode

Captured this in November of last year when I took a road trip up to the west coast of Scotland. Bit of a sort one I must admit but still managed to get some use out of the camera. Moments like this on loch awe happen more than you think but the tricky bit is being in the right place at the right time.

Off the footpath 🥾

Discovered this little beauty during late last summer, whistle traversing the luscious countryside of Yorkshire. They say the best places in nature are always away from the beaten track, which definitely applies to this one. I always enjoy shooting beside water; you really do feel a great sense of tranquility when immersing yourself within the elements.

Frozen In Time

You cant beat a good old fashioned snow storm first thing in the morning to really wake you up. This shot, taken on a very chilly morning over in Cumbria during the winter of 2018; the last time we experienced a good amount of snowfall here in the UK. This year i’m still waiting… patiently for the cold stuff to properly arrive and when it does, I’m jumping straight in the car and head back over to my favour part of the country. What your favourite season? Let me know down in the comments

Passage through the peaks

Heading over to the next week for my first shoot of the year, it’s always exciting when traveling to places like these. This iconic view looking down over Edale from Mam Tor is very well documented here on instagram and for good reason. This particular stretch of road features a beautiful s shaped curve that combined with the wintery weather on the day made for quite the scene. I must admit though famous views like this are always very popular, but in conditions like this it’s worth the friendly competition.

Hope you like this one, have you ever visited this incredible place?

Graceful Awakenings

Hey everyone, todays image is from a gorgeous morning spent following these two love birds around one of my local lakes. As the sun began to rise over the horizon, it was amazing to hear nothing but the subtle sounds of nature awakening for another day. I wouldn’t normally consider myself a morning person, but getting out into environments like these at the crack of dawn makes me envy those who are.

Happy New Year Everyone, this was from my last trip of 2021.

Before the festivities really kicked off I decided to jump in the car and head over to the famous Buachaille etive mór. This Iconic Scottish mountain has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. When the time came I didn’t get the conditions I expected but after seeing this place documented online, I was happy to just be there. It was the perfect way to end such a strange year.
