Artful, unexpected, the inbetween, connecting your key moments. Some of my glimmers from

Rebecca + Carl, Crich and Moorwood Moor. Their shorter coverage included arrivals, the church ceremony, a small no. of groups, 5 mins of relaxed couples portraits and the beginning of their informal, tipi garden party at their home. My reflection of the energy and emotion of those few hours.

When E&D contacted me to say “We are not planning a typical 'wedding' and want to privately exchange some vows/special words at a countryside walk in the peak district which means a lot to us”. I did a little dance, everything about this idea completely resonated with me.

E went on to say - “This is something I've always thought about doing and it would mean so much having these moments caught on camera. We are not very confident having our photos taken and can be quite awkward”…..

I LOVED this opportunity. These photos were taken the evening before their intimate civil ceremony in Sheffield and are anything but awkward. I cannot think of anything more perfect to be a part of. E&D it was a huge honour to be able to capture these images to commemorate your marriage in a location that means so much to you. Thank you for your trust.

Intimate elopements are increasing in my calendar, many couples want to step away from the larger celebrations in favour of something personal, poignant, less ostentatious or overwhelming. R+A's morning - Some things I noticed...

My Wedding photography will cover the whole, not focus souly on you, the couple. Show how your wider family and friends also navigated the day and came together. Capturing small, unique details and moments, so you feel the atmosphere when viewing your gallery. Of course there will always be YOUR version of each "wedding" moment (that you plan in). But I also include the wider view. I don't look to affect interactions or ask you to perform. I observe and provide an artistic, poignant overview of the real. This approach only becomes more valuable with time.

Peak District Surprise proposal. 🍃

Elliot contacted me with a very definite idea, he did not know the area and needed help to make it happen. I put together several comprehensive plans including location options, optimum timing suggestions, wet weather contingency plans, parking, loo stops, lovely places to eat before / afterwards, hotels + accommodation and suggested locally sourced added extras for their celebration.

There were so many moving parts to the morning and all came together like a dream. Jamie said yes!! It was meant to be 🙌💍

Huge congratulations to you both, thank you for sharing your forever moment. What a joy. (and thank you for the super 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 review).
