Not only do I explore mines but I often find myself in world war 2 air raid shelter or Palmerston forts. This little air raid shelter although only small was part of a much larger group of air raid shelters.

This one is located not far from an education setting in Plymouth Devon

This was a lively little visit on the Cornwall side of the border underneath a Cornish family attraction. Some really good formations and colours in this mine with a pretty dangerous winze.
On the way in you can see the edges of the winze fine but on the way out after kicking all the sediment up, it makes it nearly impossible to say making this mine potentially dangerous

Sometimes we find things in the middle of no where. This is a tiny little hole in the middle of Dartmoor. Dartmoor is 368 miles square, this hole is about 1.5metres.
The research that goes into finding these places and then the hours upon hours of exploring give us the beautiful places we get to visit

Lovely visit to this mine on the Devon side of the boarder close to Tavistock. Pay attention to the ladders, although they look safe even for people like us who have been doing this for a couple years, they are unsafe and infact the rungs come off in your hand.
Thanks to OlightUK, I am currently using a Marauder Mini 2 for my main light and a Perum 3 for a head lamp
We do this so you don’t have to
