Most women think they need to feel “strong enough” before being seen.

But strength doesn’t work like that.

It’s built in the middle,
In the showing up, the trying, the not-quite-there-yet moments.

I didn’t grow up strong.
I found it later - through motherhood, through challenge, through choosing my health.

And now I photograph women who are in that process too.

Not finished. Not perfect.
Just becoming.

Not just how it looks but how it feels.

If you’ve ever wondered what your strength looks like from the outside…
This is your sign to see it.

In the words of Sally Mann

Kate, in her element.

This series was about more than headshots, it was about showing the many layers of a woman who is building something beautiful while holding everything else with care.

We moved between strength and softness. Images that reflect her physical power, and quieter moments that reveal her honesty, warmth, and ease. Natural portraits that feel lived-in and true — the kind that sit effortlessly alongside the spaces she designs and the business she’s growing.

Kate is fun, creative, and strikingly beautiful, yes — but she’s also deeply grounded. A female entrepreneur raising three children, leading by example every single day. Showing them what it looks like to work hard, trust your vision, and show her full self without apology.

These photographs celebrate a woman who doesn’t separate who she is from what she does. Mother, creator, business owner, leader. All of it belongs.
And quietly inspiring to all of us watching.

A little throwback to early spring with Elle, when she was carrying her second baby boy.

The season was just beginning to shift with winter still holding on with its warm, earthy tones, but spring quietly whispering hope.

After a weekend of rain, this feels like the kind of image you want to wrap yourself in.
Soft light, new life, and that in-between moment where everything feels possible.
