No throwback Thursday this week- instead we’re posting fresh new images from one of our most recent shoots!

It was an honour to photograph this ‘coming of age,’ such a lovely atmosphere and celebration for the big 🎈1️⃣8️⃣🎈

My approach when photographing these events is to capture the most natural and candid images possible, to really reflect the essence of the party, almost like a ‘fly on the wall’ 📸

Why not start the week by posting a few of our favourite images from the boys’ photoshoot 🤍

We’re so pleased with the outcome of this shoot and feel so lucky that we have these photographs to cherish forever!
(And to remember how angelic they can look, in times where they test our patience 😆)

For this shoot we took inspiration directly from the season, focusing on the warm and cosy aesthetics of autumn, lovely browns and beige tones to create subtle contrasts 🍂 🧸

We’ve had a very lovely reason for our radio silence these past few days as we welcomed our second boy Bruno into the family 🤎

As you can see, his big brother absolutely adores him and was so excited to meet him- we’re so glad we’ll have these memories to treasure forever 🤍

This 𝕋𝕙𝕣𝕠𝕨𝕓𝕒𝕔𝕜 𝕋𝕙𝕦𝕣𝕤𝕕𝕒𝕪 ↩️ we’d like to share something a little different 💫

Although they may look like pieces of abstract art, these are actually a selection of experimental photographs taken whilst being in the passenger seat of the car.
On a family trip to Wales, Mark spent his time playing with the camera settings and creating interesting, long exposure shots of the lights around us.

This is the perfect activity to capture movement in low lighting and we think the results look really cool! 🌌

Time for a free…

💡 𝕋𝕦𝕖𝕤𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝕋𝕚𝕡 💡

When taking a landscape photograph on your camera, or phone (like this one!), try to make it more interesting with 𝔽𝕣𝕒𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕘.

Take the first photo, for example, the landscape is beautiful nonetheless, but may not be as immediately eye-catching as the second photograph.
Simply by finding a frame in the natural environment, in this case, a fence, you can create a focal point and unique composition for your photograph.
The frame is a way to draw you into the image and highlight the specific area that you wanted to capture 🏞️

𝔽𝕣𝕒𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕘 is a perfect way to have fun with photography and to challenge your creativity. Anything can be a frame, whether that be something already part of the landscape and an object you find nearby- give it a go! 🐚

I think we can now say it’s officially time to start getting those bobble hats (or pumpkin hats🥹) and scarfs out!

It’s also a great time for seasonal shoots with the beautiful low sunlight, crisp air and warm oranges and yellows of the landscape 🌞🍂🍁

For Throwback Thursday this week, we thought we’d throw it back to approximately 2 years ago.
We were 2 weeks into parenthood, desperate to capture our tiny baby and have pictures to look back on 👶🏻

With both of us coming from backgrounds in Photography and Art, we figured why not give it a go!

Looking back, of course our set up was amateur, the lighting could’ve been better and posing could be improved; however, this became the start of something we wanted to further pursue.

In the past 2 years we’ve had so many wonderful opportunities to photograph newborn babies, children, families, events, which have all helped to build and develop our skills and passion for photography ✨

We treasure the memories we were able to create of our own newborn baby and are so grateful for anyone that trusts us with their special moments.
We can’t wait to see what the next two years bring 📸

Happy Friday!
It looks like this weekend may be our last little glimpse of Sunshine for the year ☀️ (even if it is accompanied by wind 💨)

Hope everyone manages to soak up some Vitamin D and enjoy it, whether that’s a blustery final trip to the coast- or braving the beer garden! 🍻 🏖️
