2 years ago today we lost the king of Milky Way Photography, Alyn Wallace Alyn was a world famous Landscape Astrophotographer who passed away way too young and still to this day I rewatch his old adventures on YouTube, travelling to places like The Atacama Desert, La Palma and Utah to photograph the darkest skies in the world. If it wasn't for Alyn then I wouldn't be living the life I am today. He inspired me and so many others to travel to places like La Palma to photograph the Milky Way and my recent trip to Elan Valley to see his memorial. This year I'm returning to La Palma, travelling to Spain to photograph a Total Solar Eclipse, and hopefully next year travelling to either The Atacama Desert or Utah to photograph the Milky Way from there. I wouldn't be going on any of these adventures if it wasn't for being inspired by Alyn Wallace! Alyn was the best in the world, the GOAT of Milky Way photography, not just because of his images, but because of the inspiration he gave people all around the world, and he shared his knowledge and taught us all how to photograph the night sky for ourselves. If it wasn't for Alyn I wouldn't be taking the photos I am today. Also because of Alyn inspiring me to start my own YouTube channel, I have become friends with other Milky Way photographers from around the world, such as
Paul Haworth
Jeroen Linnenkamp
Matej Mlakar
Richard Tatti
Martin Fransson ...and many others, which I am very grateful for, these guys all help keep Alyn's legacy going and their work is excellent!!
I'm currently working on all of the Milky Way photos and video footage for the Elan Valley vlog where I visit Alyn's memorial, hopefully I can have that out on my YouTube Channel in the coming weeks as a tribute video to Alyn Wallace. RIP Alyn 🌌
