Shaira & Jasper's epic skye elopement day last year started in a quiet and ordinary. We met at sunrise in their quaint rented cottage to capture them getting ready for the day and writing their wedding vows. As the sun started to rise, we set off on their grand adventure - a climb up the Old Man of Storr, at the top of which they exchanged their vows in a beautiful sunlit ceremony (and a few raindrops) as the world was waking up. A cozy lunch at a local cafe followed, finishing the day at sunset at the Sligachan Old Bridge and a gorgeous surprise rainbow. Can't believe it took me almost a year to finally share this day which is very dear to my heart 🤍

I am very obviously biased but I truly think there are few things more special to do with your love than having your own movie stills taken, exploring things you already love doing together: exploring city streets, old graveyards or museums, drinking coffee or reading poetry together, and the one hundred ways you express love through cuddles, kisses, embraces, gently brushing each other's hair away and a million others. This is where my Love Story sessions come in, and if you want photos that feel like this, I can promise I put so much work into every client I work with. It's hard to fall into a routine when you photograph in the same locations several times a week but I fight against that but trying to truly see every couple and individual love story and let the city fall into the background of your epic love, not the other way round.
