My latest, and indeed first, photographic blog has just been posted on my web site. It's about my transition over the years from the standard photographic transitions to the square 1 to 1 ratio and also the cinematic panorama format.

As we approach the end of another year, we'd just like to let folks know that our An t-Eilean Gallery shop in Portree is now permanantly closed. We'd like to thank all our many customers over the years for coming in to our gallery and for their custom and also for their interactions about the photography and the gallery itself.

We are still trading on line at our web site ronaldmacdonaldphotography.com although we have a more limited range of products at the moment compared to our stock at An t-Eilean Gallery. If you are Skye based or a vistor passing through Skye we are still able to offer some framed products and mounted canvas photographs such as our large panoramas. It's been nice recently to have had the time to edit some of the Rhum photos I took earlier in the year from Eigg.nI've included a couple here and there are some more on my website at https://ronaldmacdonaldphotography2.zenfoliosite.com/collection/rhum-3

Both of the photos, below, were taken at dawn or in the blue hour from Laig Bay, Eigg. There is a tremendous sense of peace and tranquility at that time of the day and I hope that is at least imparted in these photographs.
