There is something so special about the variety that posed newborn photography can bring. 🤍

Your baby is only this tiny for such a fleeting moment, and having a gallery filled with different poses means you get to remember all those little details from every angle.

From those beautiful curled-up, sleepy poses that capture how naturally tiny they were, to sweet side profiles, tiny hands tucked beneath their chin, little toes curled up and those precious full-body images — each pose tells a slightly different part of their story.

The beauty with a lot of photography is the symbolism behind images that are created. Take these images for instance: I captured macro shots of little Jude.

His little hand curled round with a solid black background shows how he was fresh and new to the world. He was in the dark before inside his Mummy’s uterus and is now starting his adventure earth side. The chunky knitwear shows comfort and care taken to respond to a tiny babies needs.

Behind symbolism, photos capture memories. The second image of his little face could remind his parents how he slept so soundly in his pram. It could remind them of the brief windows of calm in the early stages of parenthood. Whatever the meaning is, it is worth having the images taken to remember how precious your tiny newborn was. They will never be this small again.

There is something incredibly beautiful about experiencing pregnancy alongside your soul dog — the one who has been there through so many chapters of your life, long before this little baby was even a thought.

There’s something so magical about the princess dress-up stage of childhood — when a simple dress could transform an ordinary afternoon into an enchanted kingdom, and a garden became a palace.

It’s the age of twirling skirts, sparkly shoes, make-believe tea parties and believing wholeheartedly that you really might be a princess. ✨👑

And one day, almost without you noticing, the costumes get packed away. The dresses no longer fit, the imaginary kingdoms become distant memories, and the little girl who once wanted to dress up every single day starts growing into someone entirely new.

You’ll miss this stage.
You’ll miss the tiny dresses hanging on the line, the endless imagination, the serious little tea parties and the way she could disappear into her own magical world.
