A little Thursday throwback to a branding photoshoot for Gemma from gemmadayhealth. ✨

While weddings make up a big part of what I do, I also love working with small business owners to create authentic, professional imagery that helps them connect with their audience and elevate their online presence.

Whether you're launching a new business, refreshing your website, updating your social media content, or simply need a bank of professional brand photographs that truly reflect you and your business, a branding session can make all the difference.

Gemma wanted a collection of natural, approachable images to support her work as a nutritional therapist and help showcase the person behind the business. We created a gallery of photographs that felt genuine, professional and completely aligned with her brand.

If your website or social media profiles could do with a refresh, I'd love to chat. 📸

The aisle mistake it's far too easy to make ✨

🌸 WALK SLOWLY DOWN THE AISLE 🌸

Walk slower down the aisle than feels natural.

When nerves kick in, almost everybody speeds up without realising.

Consciously taking your time gives you a chance to properly soak in the moment, notice your guests’ reactions, take in your partner at the other end of the aisle waiting for you, and allows your photographer to capture all those beautiful little in-between moments.

You only walk down the aisle once - enjoy every second of it 🤍

💾 Save this for wedding morning reminders.

📝 As always, I'm happy to be a sounding board, so any questions, please just drop them in the comments below and I'll do my best to help you ❤️

Rosie & Alex 🤍 13 / 06 / 26

Yesterday's Larkspur Lodge wedding for Rosie & Alex was the perfect blend of elegance, personality and joy. Every detail was beautifully planned, creating a relaxed yet luxurious wedding day that felt completely authentic to them.

The stunningly intimate, candlelit ceremony space provided the most beautiful setting for their emotional exchange of handwritten vows. And after a week of rain and wind, we were lucky enough to enjoy some calmer June weather, allowing everyone to fully soak up this gorgeous Cheshire countryside celebration.

Thank you so much to Georgia and the fabulous team at Larkspur Lodge for looking after me!

Scroll through for some favourite highlights from this gorgeously romantic wedding (set to the song Rosie walked down the aisle to, played beautifully by Alex's Uncle Andy) - and do look out for a little glimpse of Rosie's fabulous shoe choice too! 💗✨

🌸  HOW MUCH WEDDING COVERAGE DO YOU REALLY NEED? 🌸

One thing couples are increasingly considering now is how much coverage they’d like throughout their wedding day — whether that’s photography, videography, content creation… or all three.

Having multiple suppliers capturing your day can absolutely give you a huge amount of memories and footage to look back on, which is wonderful.

But it’s also worth remembering that every additional camera person changes the dynamic of the day slightly.

During key moments — like your ceremony, confetti, speeches, portraits, or first dance — too many people trying to capture the same thing at once can sometimes make things feel more crowded, less natural, and occasionally impact everyone’s ability to work as seamlessly as they’d like.

It can also naturally increase the amount of time needed for certain parts of the day too — particularly your couple portraits — as each supplier may need a little time to capture their own version of those key moments.

The best wedding teams always work together collaboratively and respectfully, but my biggest piece of advice would simply be this:

Choose the coverage that genuinely matters most to YOU, rather than feeling like you need absolutely everything.

More coverage isn’t always better — sometimes a calmer, more intentional approach creates a more relaxed experience and more natural moments overall ✨

There’s no right or wrong answer, just the balance that feels best for your day 🤍

💾 Save this if you’re currently deciding which suppliers to book.

As a wedding photographer, there are some venues that never lose their sense of occasion, and Peckforton Castle is definitely one of them.

This stunning Cheshire castle provided the perfect backdrop for Sophie and Thomas's elegant celebration, with beautiful light, incredible spaces, and so many opportunities for timeless wedding photographs. A truly unforgettable day from start to finish at the inimitable Peckforton Castle.

Happy 7 years to this beautiful duo 🤍

The couples whose weddings feel the calmest usually have one thing in common 👀

📝 Monday Wedding Wisdom 📝

One of the biggest things that affects how your wedding day FEELS isn’t actually your venue, flowers, food or weather…

It’s whether your timeline has breathing space built into it.

Tiny delays happen constantly on wedding days:

🌸someone can’t find the buttonholes
🌸the dress takes longer to fasten
🌸guests arrive late
🌸family members disappear before group photos

And when your timeline is packed too tightly, those little delays quickly create stress.

Adding small pockets of buffer time throughout the day can completely change the atmosphere — allowing things to feel calmer, more relaxed, and much more enjoyable overall.

A wedding day that feels effortless is almost always a wedding day that wasn’t scheduled minute-by-minute ✨

💾 Save this before finalising your timeline.
