Well ‘That’s A Wrap !”.

Yesterday was the conclusion of Preston Jazz & Improvisation Festival 2026 which has kept me active for the last three weeks.

Unfortunately the weather meant that the final event planned for Winckley Square was moved indoors to The Ferret. I was only able to be around for two of the four acts but here is a taste.

So with 18 events and 2,427 edited photos, I am putting my feet up today (maybe). Let’s go again in 2027.

As we head towards the end of this years Preston Jazz & Improvisation Festival, last night was the annual Jays Open Mic with Aziz Ibrahim at The Ferret. It has to be one of the most random and eclectic musical evenings of the year. Always a great evening, even if a little chaotic.
