A Wolf Spider, Pardosa lugubris, in the Exe Valley of England. As seen here, the females of this species carry their eggs in a white sac attached to their back to protect them from predation.

Bromeliads are aerial plants which live on the trunks of trees in tropical regions around the world including here, in St Lucia. The leaves of these plants create small pockets of water which are in turn used as microhabitats for many animals including as birthing pools for frogs.
