Believe it or not this photo was taken in May(!) 2019 in Switzerland.
The plan was to drive from the city of Zurich (which was sunny and warm when I left) to the ski resort of St.Moritz, but it's amazing how much the weather changed in the space of a few hours.
With no luck buying snow chains for my front wheel drive car before my journey (most shops told me they didn't sell them in summer!), shortly after this photo was taken I had to turn back and find a different route, and sadly ended up missing out on St.Moritz altogether.
This did mean I was able to spend extra time in the beautiful city of Lugano though, where it was much warmer too!
