So a few weeks ago I was working a few streets above Mousehole harbour. From the balcony of the holiday let I could see this schooner in the bay.

Turns out it was the Bell Espoir ii,built in Denmark in 1944.

50-250 lens on and I managed to grab these nice 3 shots of her from my elevated position.

So yesterday I had a job booked in at an address in Gunwalloe. I decided that as the tide was dropping i should forfeit my lunch break and try out my new 18-140 lens on the beach at Dollar cove.

I've not fully gone through all the photos yet but here are a couple of iphone images to be going on with.

Yesterday was a new lens day!

Nikon 18-140 (27-210) on my APS-C crop sensor Z50.....it fits right in the middle of my 16-50 and 50-250 (24-75 and 75-375) hopefully this will be the lens that stays on the camera without having to change lenses on the beach/rocks and getting marks on the sensor glass!🤦🏼‍♂️

Franks shaft engine house of Giew mine.

Built 1871 for a 50" cylinder pumping engine. Franks shaft was 1464' deep. Operations ceased in 1914 after most of the workforce we're called to war.

Sporatic workings were attempted after the first World War and there was an amalgamation with other small mines like wheal Georgia,wheal Trenwith,Rosewall and St.Ives consols.

A prominent landmark on the B3311 at Trink Hill,there is a little car park to go and view it.
