I don’t know about hugging the A*5 yesterday more like hugging Anglesey.
On what should of been a pleasant 5mile walk in the heat turned into a 10 mile slog as I didn’t realise you couldn’t walk over the Britannia bridge 😩😅
My walk started off at St Mary’s Church which is just to the left as you come off at Britannia bridge. It’s a beautiful little church and such a shame the graves aren’t maintained. Whilst here I visited the Nelson statue which I’ve never been to before, the tide was so low so a perfect day to be exploring low level ground.
I walked on to the viewpoint and headed down the track to see the lions, I love standing under the Britannia bridge as the cars goes over, if you’ve been under you’ll know, it’s so peaceful. Next I snogged a few cows 🐮 their little faces I love them so much, they’re so friendly.
I met a few people on my walk yesterday, it was lovely to need you all and chat. I headed over to church island, this place is so underrated, it’s a little gem of a place and if near you really should pay a visit.
I continued my walk to Menai bridge, such a great piece of engineering, still makes me feel queasy waking over it though, it’s a reminder not to do Crib Goch ha! I headed into Treborth gardens and took the forests coastal walk to Britannia bridge, I met a lovely couple about 5mins from the bridge who informed m that you couldn’t cross the bridge.
That moment when you know you have no more drink, your card is in the car and you have to walk a further 5 miles back in the afternoon heat. Yes at that moment I wanted to cry 😭 live and learn Michelle live and learn girl ha! Back I went, and I forgot my walking boots 🥾
All in all it was a beautiful day, the sun shone, and I had a wonderful day just wondering about sorry for the thousand pictures ❤️🏴
