Paxton's Tower, Carmarthen.

Yesterday evening was my first outing with the Llanelli Photographic Society. We visited a number of locations near Carmarthen, but this one was by far my favourite.

The light was failing at this point, but that simply helped to make Paxton's Tower all the more interesting to shoot.

The tower is a folly, built in the 19th Century and named after a local Mayor.

Visited Llandeilo today and spotted this interesting little alleyway directly adjacent to the main road.

Llandeilo is such a quaint little town and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in all of Carmarthenshire, including several castles!

I decided to play around with the colour of this one though. With a black and white background, the strawberry really stands out in glorious red!

Last of the Summer Fruit.

Seeing as the afternoon is a nice one, I decided to have a little scope around the garden with the Sony A7.

We have a young apple tree which produced some small apples this year. This was one of the few that have remained on the branches.

I decided to upgrade my main camera from my trusty Samsung NX1100 to a Sony Alpha 7.

This was one of the first shots I took with it after finishing the set up process. It's my grandfather, at work in his happy place - his workshop.

The image quality on the Sony Alpha 7 is nothing short of superb, but then again, with a full frame sensor and 24 MP, it shouldn't be anything else.

Quick edit in Lightroom and Snapseed, et voila!

I think I'm going to enjoy exploring and learning more about photography with this camera 😊📷.

Green.

This shot was taken on a rather interesting green glass vase we have at home.

I used the 'Super Macro' mode on the P30 Pro, before running the image through Lightroom to reduce glare and increase clarity. A dark vignetting was added to the image to help create contrast and depth.

I find it quite an unusual image but then, so is the vase that was used.
